S.P.A.M. Robotics Celebrates 2025 Banquet and FIRST Signing Day!

On May 20, 2025, S.P.A.M. Robotics (FRC Team 180) proudly celebrates FIRST Signing Day, a milestone event honoring our graduating seniors as they commit to their college journeys. Held during our end-of-year banquet on May 10, 2025, in Stuart, FL, we captured heartfelt moments of our students signing their college commitments. This year’s achievements, from a thrilling win at the Indiana Robotics Invitational (IRI) in July 2024 to clinching the Galileo Division title and Autonomous Award at the FIRST Championship in Houston, TX (April 16–19, 2025), made 2025 a season to remember. With a 44-6-0 record and a 5th-place tie on the Einstein Field, plus regional wins in Orlando, South Florida, and the Impact Award, our team has inspired the Martin County community.

Honoring Our Graduating Seniors on FIRST Signing Day

During our banquet, each senior shared their favorite S.P.A.M. memory and advice for current students. Here’s a look at their next steps:

  • Isabella Bodea: A Jensen Beach High School graduate and 2nd place winner of the Palm Beach Post's Pathfinders Award in Engineering & Technology, Isabella earned S.P.A.M.’s $1,000 scholarship. She’ll attend the University of Florida to pursue her passion for STEM.

Nathan Jones: Graduating from Indian River State College (IRSC) as a homeschooled student, Nathan is now enrolled in IRSC's Welding School, applying his technical skills to a hands-on career.

  • Giovi Defelici: Choosing a career path in innovation, Giovi will work at 3D Potter in Stuart, FL, a company specializing in cutting-edge 3D printers for clay and cement.

  • Preston Weber: Preston, a homeschooled student, will attend Indian River State College, continuing his education close to home in Martin County.
